I entered
the magical world of imagery when living in Teheran in the mid-70’s.
My father bought a first 35mm Nikkomat; I inherited his Minolta
twin-lens reflex. The metering instructions in Tri X film were
stick figure diagrams in sun or rain, corresponding f-stop written
below. Images
later came to life under a red glow. The magic never left. I
still click a shutter to irrevocably capture my reality.
