After repatriating from the UK with children, I turned my documentary eye close to home.  I wished to blur the line between documentary and art photography, so garish color is lyrically encapsulated in domestic still lives.  As New York Times photo editor Kathy Ryan explains, "The pictures first appeal on a purely primitive sensual level, in the way a bright red apple does. Then, upon closer reading, each image delivers a humorous reflection upon parenthood."
